What you can expect
Go behind the scenes of the Bundaberg Rum Distillery and then sit down with 2 expert distillers to mix your very own rum blend direct from the barrel! The blend your own rum experience gives visitors the chance to learn the history behind the iconic Australian spirit brand and see first hand how the rum is produced. First, you will join a 1 hour guided tour to view the giant Molasses wells and understand each step of the process from distilling, fermentation and finally the ageing process. After the tour, join expert rum guides to learn the art of tasting rum direct from the barrel. Then sit down and let your taste buds guide you as you work to mix your own blend based on your favourite flavours. Once you are happy with the mix, bottle it, label it and leave with two personalised blends to enjoy longer after the tour.

- Check out the worlds largest collection of Bundaberg Rum

- Learn the history of Bundy R. Bear
- After you’ve spent some time exploring the museum, join a guided Distillery Tour into the heart of Bundaberg Rum
- Visit the famed Molasses wells which can hold up to 10 olympic swimming pools of liquid at one time
- Journey through the distillation and fermentation processes
- Lastly participate in an exclusive hands-on Blend Your Own Rum Experience
- 2 personalised bottles with your individual blend and name on the front
- 2 samples of top shelf rums at the conclusion of the tour

- 12.30pm: Arrive and explore the Bundaberg Rum Museum Experience
- 1pm: Join two of our tour guides on an expedition deep into the heart of our working Distillery
- 2pm: Spend the next hour in our World Class Barrel House learning the art of blending with two of our best experts
- 3pm: Make your way back to our World Class Distillery Store where you’ll learn about the rest of the Bundy Range
- The tour takes approximately 2 hours

- Check the weather and come prepared. Some items you might consider include a bottle of water, sunscreen, sunglasses, or a rain jacket
- This tour includes tastings of some of our most premium rums which may exceed more than four standard drinks over two hours
- If you prefer not to drink the Rum, we’ll teach you how you can participate in the tastings without actually drinking them
- If you’re planning on drinking, please make plans not to drive
- This tour is available for adult guests only
- Only 16 people available for each tour
- Fully enclosed shoes are recommended (though not mandatory)
- Wheelchair and pram friendly, though there are a few rough surfaces so give us a call if you’re worried

- The Bundaberg Rum Distillery is a fully-operational working site where highly flammable areas are present. This means:
- You can't smoke anywhere near the Bundaberg Rum Distillery, including all car parks. We have safe smoking areas marked, so please follow these instructions carefully
- Due to the risk of ignition, we don’t allow anything with a battery on the tour with you. This includes your camera, phone, and your car keys. We have some lockers available for use free of charge prior to joining the tour if you need them
- If you have a medically necessary device such as a hearing aid or an insulin pump, please let us know in advance
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
- Mobile Vouchers are accepted! - Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this experience

Great day out with great people very informative and a great place to have a drink.
Best afternoon out with the two young ladies that ran the 1pm tour. Very informative, loved a joke even in the heat and humidity and kept everyone entertained and safe great afternoon, especially designing my own rum... great Australian product mate in the greatest state of all Queensland.
