What you can expect

The Aoraki Mount Cook National Park is home to some of the highest mountains and longest glaciers in the country, making it a haven for both skiers and snowboarders alike. Your day blanketed in snow begins with a scenic flight from Queenstown to Glentanner Airport, soaring above the surreal Southern Alps. Upon arrival, you will be run through a safety briefing before boarding the helicopter to some of NZ's highest helicopter landing areas. You'll board in groups of four per guide to ensure a safe and personalised experience. With over 200 runs across six mountain ranges, and with the longest runs being 4km in length averaging 800 vertical metres, there's terrain to suit all levels. Think cruisy power bowls and open faces to steep gnarly chutes. After completing five runs, you will descend back to Glentanner Airport and board the scenic flight back to Queenstown.

  • Children under the age of 10 will not be permitted
  • Please provide weights, dietary restrictions and pick-up information at the time of booking
  • It is recommended that skis are not less than 90mm underfoot and boarders have your bindings mounted so the stance is as far back as possible
  • Rental gear is available for hire at an additional cost
  • Skiers and boarders cannot be mixed on the same helicopter
  • Participants over 120kgs will incur extra charges on the helicopter portion of this tour.
  • Participants over 150kgs will be unable to take part due to weight restrictions on aircraft
